Our Products
Laser scanning data can be delivered in different ways and in different file formats. Our deliverables are totally customizable. You can choose from any of the following methods or a combination of them. Special requests that are not included below are also welcomed.

CAD Compatible Point Cloud
Point clouds can be delivered in a number of different formats such as .rcp, .rcs, .e57, .pod, .las, etc. These allow you to upload them into your CAD software of choice such as AutoCAD, Revit, Microstation, etc.

From there, they can be used to create 2D or 3D drawings or simply to add CAD objects to the point clouds themselves.

Delivery methods vary from downloadable links, uploading to your FTP site or by portable hard drive as some of these point clouds can be very large.

Browser Based Point Cloud
Everyone will have the option of having browser based access to their point cloud. Projects can be stored in the cloud for a predetermined amount of time and accessible via Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browsers. This is possible with the help of the Cintoo Cloud platform. This is one of the best collaborative tool out there.

A project team can be assigned to each project where anyone can add notes, measurements, and identify issues. Cropped section of point clouds can be saved separately. Different work zones can be created to allow different disciplines to work on their specific section of the point cloud without having to see the rest of it. The best feature is that you do not need to download anything.

ReCap Files
The CAD compatible .rcp and .rcs files can also be used in the Autodesk ReCap software. This program gives you similar features as the Cintoo Cloud platform mentioned above but only available by downloading the ReCap software. The desktop application makes it less of a collaborative tool then Cintoo but still gives you the tools needed if working on your own. The ReCap software is free but you can subscribe to the ReCap Pro version which unlocks some extra features for roughly $500 per year.

Orthopoto
An orthophoto is simply an image of a certain section of the point cloud. This can be delivered as a .png, .jpg, .tif or .bmp file.
If you're main goal is to trace an object in AutoCAD, this is the way to do it. Working in 3D can be difficult at times so using a flat image has great benefits depending on what you are trying to achieve. You can use orthophotos for building facades, floor plans, or steelwork as seen in the image on the left.

3D Model
We only use CanBIM Certified 3D modelers, ensuring the highest level of quality. We offer Architectural, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical as-built modeling from laser scan data. Unlike other firms, our modelers are discipline specific experts such as Engineers and Architects which ensures the final product will be correct.

Autodesk Revit is currently the most popular 3D modeling product in Canada but we can also provide you with AutoCad, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, and Bently Microstation deliverables.

As-Builts
We offer as-built drafting services in Autodesk AutoCAD. Our deliverables include general arrangement, plan view, and elevation drawings. All drawings are based from laser scanning data to ensure the best accuracy.

Drawings include equipment descriptions and identifications.
